The flagship annual Scottish Financial Services Awards, sponsored by EY, has been launched to celebrate the contributions of firms and individuals in the Scottish financial sector. This year's awards are particularly special as they coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE), which was established in May 1986. The awards feature eight categories, including the newly introduced FinTech award, reflecting the sector's growing importance. Sandy Begbie, chief executive of SFE, expressed excitement about recognizing achievements across the industry, following last year's sold-out event with over 700 attendees. The awards ceremony is scheduled for October 29 in Glasgow, with Childline as the charity partner, also celebrating its 40th anniversary. Childline has provided over 6 million counselling sessions since its inception, highlighting its vital role in supporting young people. The awards categories include Rising Star Award, Changing Customer Needs, Skills and Inclusion, Business Growth, Net Zero Award, Innovation, FinTech, and Chairs Award, with nominations open until July 3.
