The discussions with Keiichi focused on enhancing bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in the semiconductor sector, where Japan is keen on establishing supply parks to support related industries. The ambassador praised Gujarat's skilled workforce and expressed optimism for future collaborations in bulk drug and medical device parks. Meanwhile, Wong noted Singapore's increasing investments in Gujarat, especially in the GIFT City financial hub, which is expected to become a center for USD-INR bond issuance. He also proposed ideas for data centers and AI fintech sandboxes in GIFT City. The Gujarat government is organizing these regional conferences to foster industrial development and attract investments across various sectors.
