Devajit Saikia, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has expressed serious concerns regarding unauthorized individuals accessing IPL teams and players' areas. He stated that the BCCI is actively addressing these issues and will release an advisory aimed at preventing anomalies and irregularities that violate anti-corruption protocols. Saikia highlighted that incidents of unauthorized persons traveling with teams and visiting players' rooms have been observed, which undermines the integrity of the sport. He noted recent violations involving Rajasthan Royals, including their manager being fined for using a mobile phone in the dugout and a player caught vaping in the dressing room. Saikia emphasized the importance of maintaining the sanctity of the dugout and team environment, warning that leniency is no longer an option. The advisory will be strictly enforced, and any future violations will result in severe disciplinary actions against offenders.
