Siemens Healthineers, a leading medtech firm based in Germany, is exploring a collaboration with the Karnataka government to establish centres of excellence in life sciences, health technology, and medical products. This initiative was discussed during a meeting between IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge and the Siemens leadership team in Bengaluru. The focus will be on enhancing skilling and joint incubation opportunities, aligning with Karnataka's ambition to foster a deeptech ecosystem. Kharge noted the importance of global companies like Siemens deepening their presence in the state, leveraging Karnataka's robust talent pool and innovation landscape. Siemens Healthineers operates a global capability centre in Bengaluru, concentrating on data analytics, artificial intelligence, and immersive technologies. The company is also planning to develop a new campus in Bengaluru that will integrate research, development, manufacturing, and training functions, further solidifying the city’s role as a significant hub for the company’s global operations.
