Alongside this, Project AGAP.AI has been launched to enhance AI literacy among 1.5 million students, teachers, and parents. The guidelines categorize AI tools based on risk levels, implementing strict regulations for high-stakes applications such as grading and admissions. However, while these measures address immediate safety concerns, they do not provide long-term oversight to ensure the integrity of knowledge acquisition. The DepEd AI Registry is set to monitor AI tool performance and incidents, but further governance controls are necessary to protect against risks like data privacy breaches and misinformation. As the integration of AI in education progresses, the focus will shift to developing comprehensive oversight mechanisms to ensure that students and educators can safely navigate the complexities of AI-generated content.
