Aspinall, who grew up watching Lesnar, referred to the potential matchup as a 'freaky fight' that he would find exciting. Despite Lesnar's decade-long retirement from MMA, he continues to receive offers for a comeback, although it is deemed unlikely he will return to the octagon. Aspinall's own return to fighting has faced delays due to recovery from double eye surgery following a no-contest against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321 last October. He had hoped to resume sparring and fighting soon but has been advised to wait a few more months. Aspinall is anticipated to face the winner of the UFC White House co-main event on June 14, where Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane will compete for the interim heavyweight championship.
