Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, former Chief Ministers of Bihar, have been ordered to vacate their official residence at 10 Circular Road in Patna following a government decision to withdraw their Z-plus security. The residence has been reallocated to Nand Kishore Ram, the Bihar Minister for Animal and Fisheries Resources. The Bihar government issued an eviction notice, stating that Rabri Devi had previously been offered alternative accommodation at Hardinge Road but had not moved. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary emphasized that government housing should not be treated as personal property, sharing his own experience of vacating accommodations promptly after his tenure. Despite the eviction notice, Rabri Devi has expressed her intention to resist leaving the residence, which holds significant political history for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party. She served as Chief Minister from this residence, underscoring its importance to the family's political legacy. The government has set a deadline for the family to vacate by mid-June.
