Tata Power Trading Company (TPTCL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has announced a collaboration with Keppel's Infrastructure Division and Tata Realty & Infrastructure to implement a Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) solution at Intellion Park in Chennai, India. This facility, which spans 25.27 acres and includes both special economic zones (SEZs) and non-SEZs, is strategically located in the IT corridor of Taramani. The CaaS solution, featuring a total installed capacity of 12,100 tonnes of refrigeration (TR), is expected to reduce energy consumption by approximately 20%. The project is set to commence operations in October 2026 under a 15-year contract. The innovative solution is equipped with high-efficiency equipment and an AI- and ML-driven Operations Nerve Centre (ONC) that allows for real-time monitoring and predictive analytics. This initiative not only enhances efficiency and reliability but also contributes to a sustainable energy ecosystem by sourcing green power from Tata Power. Over time, the partnership aims to expand the CaaS solution to include broader heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, further improving energy optimization and occupant comfort.
