Abe McElwee, a senior at Tusky Valley High School in Zoarville, Ohio, is one of the most accomplished athletes in the school's history, holding five track records including the 400 meters at 48.40 seconds. He has been a two-time state place winner, finishing sixth and seventh during his sophomore and junior years, respectively. This spring, he aims to excel in the newly expanded five-division state track tournament format. McElwee is also an honor student with a 3.9 GPA and has received a scholarship to Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where he plans to major in mechanical engineering. Despite nursing an injury, he remains focused on his training and the upcoming postseason, expressing gratitude for the support from his family and coaches.
