In a troubling incident in Kamalpur Kazi village, located in Amroha district, Uttar Pradesh, India, over 100 people fell ill after consuming food at a wedding feast on Sunday. Attendees experienced severe symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain shortly after the meal. The affected individuals included children, women, and elderly guests from both Kamalpur Kazi and neighboring Haivatpur Chaudharyan village. Eyewitnesses reported a rapid spread of panic as attendees began to show symptoms. Currently, more than two dozen patients are receiving treatment at local hospitals, with some discharged after initial care while others remain under observation. The district administration, led by Sub-divisional Magistrate Shailesh Kumar Dubey, is actively monitoring the situation. Health and food safety teams have been dispatched to collect food samples and investigate the contamination source, with assurances of strict action if negligence is discovered.
