Earlier in the season, RR's manager Ravinder Singh Bhinder was fined ₹1 lakh for using his mobile phone in the dugout during a match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Sangakkara acknowledged that these controversies reflect poorly on the team but emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive culture. Currently, Riyan Parag's performance has been under scrutiny, as he has only accumulated 117 runs in nine innings, averaging 14.62. Despite this, Sangakkara praised his captaincy skills and encouraged him to enjoy his batting without the pressure of leadership. Rajasthan Royals have secured six wins from their nine games and are set to face Delhi Capitals at home in Jaipur on May 1.
