The recent opening of the KC Streetcar Riverfront Extension has transformed travel for fans attending Kansas City Current games at CPKC Stadium. This new extension, which opened on Monday, allows fans to access the stadium directly via the streetcar, eliminating the need for the previously operated match-day shuttle service. The streetcar features 17 north-bound stops, and the Riverfront stop is conveniently located about five minutes from the stadium entrance. Fans are encouraged to utilize various modes of transportation, including walking, biking, and ride-sharing, rather than relying on stadium parking. The streetcar operates from 5:00 a.m. to midnight from Sunday to Thursday and extends its hours until 1:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Additionally, two bridges—the Grand Boulevard Bridge and the Town of Kansas Bridge—offer easy access to the riverfront area. The KC Current will post updates regarding game-day transportation on their app and the CPKC Stadium website. Their next home match is scheduled for Sunday at noon against the Portland Thorns, currently in third place.
