Tata Steel reported a remarkable 124.9% increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹2,925.74 crore for Q4 FY26, compared to the previous year. This growth was supported by a 12.53% rise in income from operations to ₹62,687.31 crore. Profit before exceptional items and tax also saw a significant boost, climbing 98.99% to ₹5,150.42 crore. However, the company faced an exceptional loss of ₹340.05 crore during the quarter. The EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹9,953 crore, reflecting a 47.19% increase from ₹6,762 crore in Q4 FY25.
In terms of production, crude steel output increased by 10.47% to 8.23 million tonnes, while deliveries rose 4.68% to 8.72 million tonnes. Tata Steel India reported its best-ever deliveries of 22.5 million tons for FY26, driven by an expanding portfolio in high-value segments. Despite challenges in its European operations, particularly in the Netherlands and the UK, Tata Steel remains focused on operational efficiency and strategic growth. The board has also proposed a ₹4 dividend per equity share for FY26, with the record date set for June 12, 2026.
