On Saturday, police in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) announced the arrest of Nickson Gayak Kamangon, a suspect in the ambush that resulted in the deaths of five police officers in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur. Kamangon, known as 'Nexon', was apprehended at 9 a.m. at General Santos City International Airport while preparing to board a flight to Manila. He was identified as the No. 1 most wanted person in Maguindanao del Sur and No. 9 in BARMM.
