Manjrekar suggested that Jasprit Bumrah, known for his keen understanding of the game, should take over from Hardik Pandya. He emphasized that Bumrah's ability to read situations and anticipate plays makes him a strong candidate for leadership. Additionally, Manjrekar expressed disappointment that Bumrah has not shown interest in captaincy roles, particularly in international formats. He also mentioned that Mumbai Indians missed an opportunity to strengthen their team by not signing Ashish Nehra, who previously collaborated successfully with Pandya at Gujarat Titans.
