Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, the state coordinator of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in India, has called for heightened vigilance regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. During a Zoom meeting with party leaders, he urged all 175 Assembly Constituency coordinators to gain a thorough understanding of the electoral list revision process and to closely monitor developments on the ground. Reddy expressed concerns that similar revisions in states like West Bengal and Tamil Nadu had led to significant voter deletions, making it challenging to restore removed voters. He emphasized the importance of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) being well-trained and coordinated with Booth Level Officers (BLOs), especially as election staff may face increased pressure. To enhance technical preparedness, a control room will be established at the party's central office, along with orientation programs. Additionally, Reddy reviewed upcoming statewide initiatives focused on farmers' issues, hospital visits, and the Aarogyasri healthcare program, urging leaders to maintain strong media visibility for the party's welfare initiatives.
