Paramount Skydance has launched a new gaming division, Paramount Games Studio, which revealed its first game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, during the Summer Game Fest showcase. This action game is set in a dystopian future New York City, where a lone turtle seeks vengeance for his fallen brothers against the grandson of the notorious villain Shredder. The game is being developed by PlatinumGames, a studio renowned for its work on popular titles such as Bayonetta and Nier: Automata. Paramount Games Studio is a merger of Skydance Interactive and Skydance New Media, with Tony Driscoll at the helm. He stated that the studio aims to position gaming as a vital storytelling medium alongside film and television.
