The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has launched the application process for the 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination (CCE) 2026, aimed at filling 1,186 vacancies across various state departments. This is a revision from the initial 1,230 vacancies, following the withdrawal of 44 sugarcane officer posts, which will be filled under different regulations. Applications are accepted from May 7 to May 31, 2026, through the official BPSC website. Candidates must pay an application fee of ₹100 and an additional ₹200 if they do not possess an Aadhaar card. The selection process consists of two stages: a preliminary exam featuring 150 objective-type questions over two hours, followed by a mains exam and an interview. The mains will include a General Hindi paper, two General Studies papers, an essay, and an optional subject paper, although marks from the optional paper will not contribute to the final merit list.
