The Indian government has sanctioned the deployment of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel to secure the NATGRID campus located in Yelahanka, Bengaluru. A total of 76 posts have been approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for this critical task. The NATGRID, or National Intelligence Grid, plays a vital role in national security by aggregating data from various intelligence and law enforcement databases to bolster counter-terrorism efforts. The CISF already provides armed security for the NATGRID headquarters in New Delhi, ensuring protection against potential terrorist attacks and sabotage. Furthermore, in a related development, the CISF recently took over the security of the Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in Chanakyapuri, Delhi, deploying 90 personnel to safeguard this cultural center under the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The CISF is responsible for securing both government and private critical installations, enhancing the overall security framework of the nation.
