Titlagarh in Bolangir district recorded the highest temperature at 42.5 degrees Celsius, closely followed by Jharsuguda at 42.4 degrees Celsius. Other districts such as Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur are also experiencing elevated temperatures. In response to the severe heat, the Ganjam district administration has declared a holiday for schools from April 21 to 23, while the Cuttack district has announced similar closures for schools and anganwadi centers.
