As the company expands its services to over 1.8 million small and medium enterprises (SMEs), it hired 1,280 employees with an average hiring time of 55 days, which increases to 80 days for critical roles. This trend reflects a broader global challenge in talent acquisition, particularly in high-growth sectors. In India, the situation is exacerbated, with 82% of employers struggling to find skilled talent, especially in technology and digital roles, according to ManpowerGroup's 2026 Talent Shortage Report. Neeti Kumar, Head of People at Tide (India), emphasized that prioritizing precision in hiring leads to stronger teams and better service delivery for SMEs. Tide's 'Precision Hiring Framework' focuses on slowing down the hiring process for critical roles, treating hiring decisions as essential to team performance, and integrating HR into core business strategies. With a candidate acceptance rate of over 86%, Tide is committed to building stable teams that can scale sustainably, a necessity as competition in the fintech space intensifies.
