Okta, an identity security provider, reported strong fiscal first-quarter results, surpassing Wall Street expectations with adjusted earnings of 91 cents per share and revenue of $765 million. This performance reflects an 11% increase in revenue compared to the previous year. The company's net income rose to $74 million, compared to $62 million a year earlier, resulting in a share price increase of 4%. CEO Todd McKinnon noted that the growing demand for identity security tools is largely driven by the rise of agentic artificial intelligence, although AI currently does not represent a significant portion of Okta's revenue.
