Although the surgery was deemed successful, he noted that recovery is contingent on how well his body heals, with hopes of returning to wrestling in 2026. Owens, a former WWE Universal Champion, was originally scheduled to compete against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 before pulling out due to his injury.
