On Sunday, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti announced that Abdul Razzaq Tarakai would receive a civil award for his heroic actions following an acid attack on Dr. Mahnoor Nisar at Quetta’s Civil Hospital. The incident occurred when an employee allegedly threw acid on Dr. Nisar, causing severe burns. CCTV footage captured Tarakai covering Dr. Nisar with his jacket as she fled the scene. CM Bugti praised Tarakai's courage and humanity, stating that such individuals are invaluable to society. MNA Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari also condemned the attack and has requested President Asif Ali Zardari to recognize Tarakai's bravery with the highest civilian honor.
