Following the tragic fire incident in Malviya Nagar, Delhi, which resulted in the deaths of 21 individuals, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a comprehensive fire safety audit of hotels and commercial establishments throughout the state. This directive mandates that officials from various departments, including police and fire services, conduct thorough inspections of high-rise buildings and ensure that fire safety systems are properly implemented. Chief Fire Officer Ankush Mittal has confirmed that inspection teams are actively assessing local hotels, warning that strict legal consequences will be imposed on any establishments found in violation of fire safety regulations. Additionally, Uttar Pradesh Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna expressed condolences over the Delhi incident and announced that new directives will be issued to district magistrates to ensure compliance with safety measures.
