TVK leader Adhav Arujuna confirmed this support, which allows TVK to reach a majority of 118 seats in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly. The VCK, with its two MLAs, played a crucial role in this development. Arujuna expressed gratitude to the Congress and Left parties for their backing, highlighting the collaborative effort in forming the new government. Following the recent Assembly elections held on April 23, Vijay, who won from two constituencies, will need to resign from one, slightly reducing TVK's strength to 107 seats. The coalition now includes support from Congress (5 seats) and the CPI and CPI (M), each contributing two MLAs, totaling 11 seats in support of TVK.
