The DMK secured only 59 seats, a stark decline from 159 seats in the 2021 elections, while Vijay's party won 108 seats in its inaugural election, disrupting a long-standing political duopoly. Stalin emphasized that the loss should be viewed as a cycle rather than a defeat and promised to implement changes based on public feedback. A new website, 'UDANPIRAPPINKURAL', was launched to facilitate communication between the party and constituents. The recent elections also saw a record voter turnout of 85.1%, driven by a digital-first campaign strategy. Stalin's loss of his Kolathur seat, previously a stronghold, reflects the challenges ahead for the DMK as they reassess their approach to regain voter trust.
