Following this, he was forced into a car and taken to an OYO room in Ganapathinagar. There, the accused consumed alcohol, stripped the victim, and assaulted him with rods and machetes, while demanding a total of ₹1 lakh (about $1,200 USD). When the victim could not arrange the money, they reduced the demand to ₹30,000 (around $360 USD) during a later stop. The Soladevanahalli police have charged the accused with multiple offenses, and further investigations are ongoing.
