On Tuesday morning, the partially-burnt body of 20-year-old Govind was found in a tubewell pit in Lakshmipura village, located in the Chausana area of Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh, India. Police suspect murder, as preliminary findings indicate that Govind may have been killed elsewhere, and his body was later disposed of in the well to destroy evidence. Family members reported that Govind had been sleeping in a cattle enclosure near his home on Monday night and was missing when they woke up the next morning. His uncle, Ankit Kumar, stated that the family was unaware of any conflicts or enmity involving Govind, emphasizing his focus on studies. Superintendent of Police Narendra Pratap Singh confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway, with the body sent for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.
