In the new film 'Toaster', Farah Khan portrays Nandini, the owner of a small-town child orphanage, marking her return to acting after a successful career as a filmmaker and choreographer. Director Vivek Daschaudary revealed that Khan's involvement was largely due to the influence of actors Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa, who are longtime friends with her. Daschaudary expressed his gratitude for Khan's acceptance of the role, emphasizing that her natural personality was a perfect fit for the character. The film features Rajkummar Rao as a miserly husband whose penny-pinching habits strain his marriage with his wife, played by Sanya Malhotra. Released on Netflix on April 15, 'Toaster' also includes a talented cast featuring Archana Puran Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Upendra Limaye, and Seema Pahwa. Khan's last directorial effort was the hit film 'Happy New Year', released in 2014.
