The Telangana government is making extensive preparations for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) re-examination, scheduled for June 21, 2026. Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao has instructed officials to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the exam, which is expected to see approximately 73,000 students participating across 208 examination centers in 24 cities. During a recent video conference, Rao emphasized the importance of coordination among various departments to facilitate smooth operations on exam day. National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Abhishek Singh highlighted that enhanced security protocols will be in place to safeguard the examination process. State Principal Secretary (Health) Christina Z Chongthu confirmed that necessary infrastructure, including transportation, power supply, and drinking water, is being arranged. Additionally, State DG (Law and Order) Mahesh Bhagwat stressed the need for collaboration between police and district administration to ensure security at all centers. He also urged officials to actively monitor social media to address any misinformation that could disrupt the examination process.
