A 37-year-old businessman from Congo has been isolated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, along with three individuals who had contact with him, following his return to India last week. Gujarat Health Minister Praful Pansheriya confirmed that samples from the four have been sent for testing. The businessman initially traveled from Congo to Mumbai and then to Vadodara, where he was admitted to Banker Hospital after developing a fever. As a precaution, he has been moved to the Ebola ward at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, with his condition reported as stable and his temperature under control. Authorities have isolated three additional individuals linked to him, and none are currently exhibiting symptoms. They will remain in isolation for 10-11 days. Notably, there are no confirmed cases of Ebola in India or Gujarat at this time. In response to the ongoing Ebola outbreak in Congo, India has also dispatched emergency medical supplies, including diagnostics and infection control materials, to aid containment efforts.
