Diksha Dagar, representing India, made a spectacular entrance at the inaugural MCB Ladies Classic in Port Louis, Mauritius, on May 2, by scoring a hole-in-one on the par-3 11th hole. She concluded the first round with an impressive score of 4-under 68, securing a tied-fourth position among the competitors. Dagar's performance included birdies on the 15th and 18th holes, although she faced a bogey on the fifth but bounced back with another birdie on the ninth. Other Indian players also showed promise, with Tvesa Malik finishing at 2-under 70 in tied-20th and Hitaashee Bakshi at 1-under 71 in tied-30th. However, Vani Kapoor struggled with a score of 78. At the top of the leaderboard, France’s Agathe Laisne dominated with a remarkable 8-under 64, showcasing her consistency with ten birdies. The competition remains tight as only the top 60 players and ties will progress beyond the cut, setting the stage for an exciting second round.
