Prateek Yadav, aged 38, passed away in a civil hospital in Uttar Pradesh, prompting condolences from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who described the news as 'extremely heartbreaking.' Prateek was the younger son of the late Mulayam Singh Yadav, founder of the Samajwadi Party, and stepbrother to current party president Akhilesh Yadav. Although he came from a prominent political background, Prateek had distanced himself from active politics and was known as a fitness enthusiast. He had a turbulent relationship with his wife, Aparna Yadav, who is currently the vice chairperson of the State Women Commission and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Earlier this year, Prateek accused Aparna of ruining family ties and expressed intentions to seek a divorce, labeling her as a 'family destroyer.' However, he later announced a reconciliation with her, stating that their issues had been resolved mutually.
