Filmmaker Anurag Basu confirmed that his upcoming film featuring actors Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela is set to release in 2026. The film, which marks the first on-screen pairing of Aaryan and Sreeleela, is progressing well with no delays, as Basu stated, "We are very much on schedule and the shoot is progressing well." There were initial rumors about Triptii Dimri being considered for the female lead, but Basu clarified that scheduling conflicts were the reason for her not being cast. The film's music will be composed by Pritam, a frequent collaborator with Basu, and it is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series. Basu is known for his unique musical storytelling style, having directed notable films such as Barfi! and Jagga Jasoos.
