On Wednesday, an ambush by suspected militants in Kangpokpi district, Manipur, India, resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to several others. The victims were returning in two vehicles from the Thadou Baptist Association (TBA) Conference in Churachandpur when they were attacked between Kotzim and Kotlen. Among the deceased was V. Sitlhou, a TBA leader and former general secretary of the Manipur Baptist Convention. The Kuki Organisation for Human Rights Trust (KOHUR) condemned the attack, demanding accountability and support for the bereaved families.
