On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a substantial ₹9,400 crore ($1.13 billion USD) package in Telangana, focusing on infrastructure and industrial development. The event, held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, was attended by notable leaders including Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. A significant highlight was the inauguration of the PM MITRA Park in Warangal, which is India's first fully operational textile park, built at a cost of approximately ₹1,700 crore ($204 million USD). This park aims to create an integrated textile ecosystem aligned with the government's '5F' vision, which encompasses farm, fibre, factory, fashion, and foreign markets. Modi emphasized the historical significance of the textile sector to India's economy and expressed confidence in revitalizing this industry. The package also includes key infrastructure projects such as the four-laning of National Highway-167 and enhancements to the Kazipet–Vijayawada rail corridor, which are expected to significantly improve connectivity and support manufacturing growth in the state.
