During the toss before the IPL 2026 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB captain Rajat Patidar hinted at the venue for the IPL 2026 final being confirmed as Bengaluru. He stated, “Of course, there was a lot of planning behind it. And as you know, this year we have a final at Chinnaswamy, so we have to win all the home matches.” While RCB is favored to host the final due to their status as the defending champions, official confirmation is still pending as it requires security assessments and logistical evaluations. Currently, RCB is in a strong position in the league, having won four out of five matches and standing second on the IPL table, just behind the unbeaten Punjab Kings. The team is focused on securing a top-4 finish to ensure a playoff spot. Last season, RCB ended a 17-year title drought by clinching their maiden IPL title against Punjab Kings in the final.
