This initiative invites fans, former players, journalists, and a club panel to participate in the voting process, determining the rankings based on criteria such as individual ability, impact, legacy, and success during their careers with the club. This countdown marks the third iteration of such a poll, previously conducted under the titles '100 Players Who Shook the Kop' in 2006 and 2013. Each day, three players will be announced in reverse order, allowing supporters to engage with the process. Fans will have exclusive early access to the next player revealed each day through the official Liverpool FC app. The countdown will culminate in a special live event in early July, where the top five players will be unveiled, along with the ultimate titleholder of Liverpool’s Greatest. This event promises to celebrate the rich history and legacy of the club's most iconic players.
