On Friday, Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay of Tamil Nadu convened a series of meetings at the Secretariat with key stakeholders, including the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and major automobile manufacturers like Yamaha Motor India, BMW Group, and TAFE. The discussions focused on enhancing industrial growth, promoting investment, and improving the ease of doing business in the state. Vijay assured the industry leaders of government support for their expansion plans, emphasizing the importance of continued investments in Tamil Nadu's economy. During the meetings, representatives from Yamaha highlighted their contributions to the state's automobile manufacturing and export sectors, while BMW's managing director discussed the company's progress in electric vehicle manufacturing and future expansion possibilities. TAFE's leadership addressed the importance of industrial growth and employment generation. Additionally, TIDCO officials informed Vijay about Tamil Nadu's recognition as an 'exemplar state' in the 2025 LEADS rankings, showcasing the state's development initiatives. Vijay also conducted a review meeting regarding agricultural practices, particularly focusing on Kuruvai paddy cultivation and water resource management.
