Banerjee has dismissed these projections, claiming they are fabricated by the BJP to demoralize her party's supporters. Other polling agencies have shown varied results, with some indicating a closer race between the BJP and TMC, while others suggest the possibility of the TMC retaining power, albeit with reduced seats. The voting for the assembly elections took place in two phases on April 23 and April 29, with results set to be announced on May 4.
