Gurugram police have apprehended two suspects, including a former manager of a travel company, in a significant digital scam involving ₹78 lakh. The manager, who was freelancing after previously working with the company, has a history of facilitating fraudulent bank accounts in a related case from 2025. The police's investigation, initiated under the new Police Commissioner's directives, utilized technical tracing methods that led to the arrest of a bank account holder from Bihar. This individual had reportedly sold his bank account to the scammers for ₹70,000, which was used for transactions amounting to ₹24 lakh. The Gurugram police are actively pursuing further investigations to capture other individuals associated with this scam. This action is part of a broader initiative to tackle digital fraud in the region, reflecting the police's commitment to addressing such crimes effectively.
