Sanjiv Gadkar, the State Secretary of Goa, announced that fuel and cooking gas supplies remain stable and sufficient to meet current demand, despite concerns arising from the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He stated that Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) are actively monitoring the supply situation and have streamlined logistics to ensure uninterrupted availability of petrol, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) across the state. Approximately 10,600 LPG cylinders are being delivered in Goa, maintaining normal levels consistent with current requirements. Gadkar encouraged consumers to utilize digital platforms for booking LPG refills and to authenticate deliveries using the Delivery Authentication Code. He also highlighted the promotion of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) as a reliable alternative to LPG, which is currently available in parts of Panaji, Margao, and Ponda. To assist migrant laborers and students without local address proof, OMCs are offering 5 kg free trade LPG cylinders against valid government-issued photo identification. Regular inspections at LPG distributorships are being conducted to ensure compliance, and enforcement agencies have intensified actions against hoarding and black marketing, conducting 436 raids across Goa to safeguard consumer interests.
