Kaab Rashidi, a legal advisor to the Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind in Uttar Pradesh, launched a book titled 'The Indian Constitution: An Ideological Study' aimed at enhancing legal awareness among madrassa students in Lucknow. The initiative, unveiled at a press conference, focuses on educating students about their constitutional rights, legal protections, and civic duties. Rashidi described the launch as a significant step towards madrassa reform and emphasized the need for students in traditional Islamic institutions to be informed about their roles as citizens. He plans to advocate for the book's inclusion in madrassa curricula across 15 states, starting from the 'Saum' level, which corresponds to Class 12 in mainstream education. The book is part of a larger multi-volume series, with plans for translation into 10 Indian languages to ensure broader accessibility. Rashidi aims to inspire students to contribute actively to India's progress and to bridge the gap between religious education and constitutional awareness.
