Dr. Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, the representative of Iran's Supreme Leader in India, reaffirmed the strength of the bilateral relationship between Iran and India, particularly in light of recent incidents involving Indian vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. He highlighted that India's access to oil and the safe passage of tankers through this crucial maritime route are significantly supported by the strong ties between the two nations. The Prime Minister of India has had productive discussions with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and India's External Affairs Minister has engaged in fruitful dialogues with Iran's Foreign Minister. Dr. Ilahi noted that the relationship is deeply rooted in a shared history spanning 5,000 years, encompassing cultural, educational, and philosophical connections. He expressed confidence that this relationship will continue to strengthen in the future.
