The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the Class 12 results on May 13, 2026, revealing a decline in the overall pass percentage to 85.20%, down from 88.39% in the previous year. A total of 1,768,968 students appeared for the exams. Among the regions, Thiruvananthapuram achieved the highest pass percentage at 95.62%, while Prayagraj recorded the lowest at 72.43%. In terms of gender performance, girls outperformed boys, achieving an 88.86% pass rate compared to boys' 82.13%, marking a difference of 6.73%. Additionally, over 1,63,000 students fell into the compartment category, reflecting an increase of nearly 2% from last year. Notably, more than 94,000 students scored above 90%, with over 17,000 candidates achieving scores above 95%.
