In a shocking revelation, Modi also shared that he faced life-threatening intimidation from underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, which played a crucial role in his decision to step back from cricket administration. He recounted a harrowing incident from 2012 involving a meeting orchestrated by a fixer, where Ibrahim's voice was put on speakerphone to pressure him into facilitating an IPL franchise for the crime syndicate. Modi's refusal to comply led to a series of retaliatory actions against him, prompting law enforcement intervention. As the biopic's script is still being developed, Modi remains uncertain about Singh's continued interest in the role.
