On Tuesday morning, a tragic incident in Chengalpet district, Tamil Nadu, resulted in the death of a five-year-old boy named Yuvaraj. The child, a UKG student at a local panchayat union middle school, was playing outside during summer vacation when he went in search of his mother, who was grazing goats nearby. As he searched, he slipped and fell into a farm well. Local villagers began a search after spotting one of his toys floating in the water. A villager jumped in and managed to pull Yuvaraj out, but he was later pronounced dead at the government medical college and hospital in Chengalpet. Authorities noted that the slushy sand around the well may have contributed to the accident. Chengalpet taluk police have registered a case to investigate the circumstances of this tragic event.
