Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his five-nation tour on Wednesday, which included visits to the UAE, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Italy. His final stop in Italy led to a significant enhancement of bilateral relations, with Modi and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni agreeing to elevate their ties to a Special Strategic Partnership. This partnership aims to strengthen cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, artificial intelligence, and nuclear energy. Modi expressed gratitude towards the Italian government and its people for their hospitality. During his visit, he also received the prestigious FAO Agricola Medal and participated in a symbolic planting of a Mulberry tree under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. Prior to Italy, Modi attended the third India-Nordic summit in Norway, where he was awarded Norway's highest civilian honor, the Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit. His tour began in the UAE, where he secured USD 5 billion in investments and signed multiple agreements, showcasing India's growing international partnerships.
