NBC has officially canceled ‘The Hunting Party’ after two seasons, with the series concluding its run on May 7. The show featured Melissa Roxburgh in the lead role as Rebecca ‘Bex’ Henderson, a former FBI profiler tasked with leading a team of investigators to capture the world’s most dangerous fugitives who escaped from a clandestine government prison known as ‘The Pit.’ The series was created by JJ Bailey and co-showrun by Jake Coburn, with Universal Television producing. The cancellation comes shortly after NBCUniversal's annual upfronts presentation, where the network also announced the cancellation of other shows, including the freshman comedy ‘Stumble’ and the second season drama ‘Brilliant Minds.’ In contrast, several long-running series, such as ‘Law & Order’ and its spin-offs, along with ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘Chicago Med,’ received renewals. Looking ahead, NBC is set to introduce new programming for the 2026-2027 season, featuring a reboot of ‘The Rockford Files’ and a new series titled ‘Line of Fire’ focused on a law enforcement family, alongside two new comedies.
